Directly at the Unterer Markt and only a few meters from our main building, you will be staying in our Kößlerhaus. This is in memory of Hans von Koessler (January 1, 1853), who was born in Waldeck. The Oberpfalz native achieved great renown through his work as a professor of organ playing and composition at the Royal Hungarian Academy of Music.
In 1908, he was awarded the Order of the Iron Crown for his great services to Hungarian music. As a great nature lover, he always selected beautifully situated places in summer, such as Wunsiedel, Coburg, Potsdam and his home town of Waldeck. Among his many works are three symphonies - great chamber music and choral works - a folk opera and countless songs.
Our rooms and apartments in the Kößlerhaus have been lovingly renovated. The opening at the beginning of 2018 created a relaxing place of retreat for your stay in the village.
