Wagner city Bayreuth
Discover the Wagner city of Bayreuth with the Wahnfried House and the memorial of Cosima and Richard Wagner as well as the charming palaces and parks. Explore the most beautiful corners of the historic town center with the world of Wilhelmine: The New Palace with the Court Garden and the Margravial Opera House.
After your discovery tour, relax in the Lohengrin Therme wellness oasis in the immediate vicinity of the Hermitage. In addition to around 1,000 m² of water, the Lohengrin Therme with its state-approved healing spring also offers a sauna area.
Kemnath Museum of Local History and Firearms
Travel back in time to Kemnath and discover treasures from the Stone Age from Kemnath and the region. Original finds such as mammoth bones, hand axes and tools bear witness to a past era. With the largest collection of Fortschauer weapons, the museum tells the story of the manufactory that produced weapons for the Bavarian army in Kemnath until 1801.
Spa trip to Marienbad, Karlsbad, Franzensbad
The Czech Republic is known as the land of therapeutic mineral springs. It is also home to the three world-famous thermal spas of Karlsbad, the largest and best-known spa in the West Bohemian spa triangle, which has 79 sources whose water is used for medical treatments.
The spa town of Marienbad benefits from a total of 140 healing sources, 40 of which are located in the town itself and a further 100 springs are located in the immediate vicinity of Marienbad. Franzensbad has the smallest and most charming of the West Bohemian spas with 22 active mineral springs.

The local bakery Maschauer supplies three beautiful hiking destinations around Tirschenreuth with picnic baskets. You can enjoy your personal picnic basket at the following hiking destinations:

With a PIN, which you receive when you order, you can open the combination lock and enjoy it straight away! Unfortunately, no deliveries can be made on Sundays and during the last three weeks of the summer vacations.
EWILPA Edible Wild Plant Park
Go hiking and collect edible wild plants easily and safely: The free themed hiking trail takes you around the Schlossberg and market to natural sites where the diversity of plants and their use as food and medicine is shown on many interesting boards. There are also seminars on how to safely identify, classify and prepare wild plants.
Bicycle tour through the volcanoes
A bicycle tour through the volcanoes with a view of the Kemnath Teichpfanne, the Gabellohe nature reserve and the Steinwald nature park. The route along the Haidenaab river and up to the volcanic cones is quite challenging, but views such as the one from Waldeck Castle Hill are well worth the effort.
Goldsteig
Between the 946m high Platte in the Steinwald and the 1379m high Plöckenstein in the border triangle of Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria, the Goldsteig runs along various routes for around 600km through the largest contiguous forest mountain range in Central Europe. The ridge route leads over the thousand-meter peaks of the Bavarian Forest and through the Bavarian Forest National Park. Enjoy magnificent views on a marked forest hiking network and hiking guide system.
The Marterlweg in Waldeck
A natural landscape accompanies hikers at every turn moving impulses lead past symbols of faith and life on the path of faith. The Marterlweg trail leads from the old cemetery in Waldeck in the Steinwald Nature Park, following the white and blue markings, to Waldeck's Schlossberg. There are 15 inspirational stations along the way that aim to touch and inspire. The walk is almost exclusively along a field and meadow path, with only a short section leading uphill along a forest footpath.
