Instead of anonymous hotel corridors, you'll find coziness, local character, and a deep sense of home.

Where are the Hollerhöfe located?

The Hollerhöfe are located in Waldeck, a small village that is part of the town of Kemnath in the northern Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria. We are just a 30-minute drive from Bayreuth and Weiden (around 1 hour from Regensburg and Nuremberg, 2.5 hours from Munich, 3.5 hours from Frankfurt, and 4 hours from Berlin). Surrounded by the Fichtelgebirge, Steinwald, and Upper Palatinate Forest, the area is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking peace and relaxation.

What types of rooms and apartments does the hotel offer?

The Hollerhöfe offer a variety of rooms and apartments spread across five historic village houses. Choose from individually designed double rooms, spacious apartments with separate living areas, and some with kitchens – perfect for longer stays, families, or groups of friends.

What payment methods are accepted at the hotel?

We accept debit cards (EC cards), major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as cash payments.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

There is generally no minimum stay requirement. However, during holidays or peak vacation periods, a minimum stay of two or more nights may apply.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Changes and cancellations are possible. The exact conditions depend on the booked rate and travel period.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is dynamic and depends on your booking:

Flex Rate: Free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival
Semi-Flex Rate (also applies to packages): Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival
Saver Rate: Non-refundable
In case of no-show or early departure: 100% of the total amount will be charged

Are there any special offers or discounts for longer stays?

Yes, for longer stays of four nights or more, you’ll receive a 20% discount on your booking. We also offer special packages during selected seasonal periods. It's always worth taking a look at our current offers.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Dogs are welcome in selected rooms for an additional fee of € 15 per night. Please let us know in advance if you are travelling with a dog so we can reserve a suitable room for you.

Are the Hollerhöfe suitable for families?

Absolutely! The Hollerhöfe are a wonderful place for families – with plenty of space, apartments with kitchens, and a quiet, safe environment to relax and explore.

Is there anything on offer for children?

Yes, we have a playroom in the main building for children of all ages and a small outdoor playground. Our spacious garden is also perfect for running around and playing freely.

Can I pay for my stay with a gift voucher?

Of course! You can purchase a gift voucher from us and use it to pay for your stay. A perfect gift idea for nature lovers.

How do I get to the Hollerhöfe?

Getting here is easy by car via the A9 or A93 motorways and the B22 federal road. Feel free to use a route planner for your journey. For detailed directions, we recommend checking our Getting Here page.

If you're arriving by public transport, the nearest train stations are Kirchenlaibach (approx. 15 km away) and Kemnath-Neustadt (approx. 9.5 km away). From there, you can take various bus connections to Waldeck. The bus stop “Waldeck Unterer Markt, Kemnath” is just a short walk from the hotel.
Alternatively, we recommend using a local taxi service such as Taxi Priebe or Taxi Pöllath.
TIPP: Book your taxi at least one day before arrival.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes, free parking is available for guests directly at the main building.

Does the hotel offer a shuttle service to the train station?

No, we do not offer a shuttle service to or from the train station.

How far are the Hollerhöfe from the nearest train stations or airports?

The nearest train stations are Kirchenlaibach (approx. 15 km) and Kemnath-Neustadt (approx. 9.5 km).
The closest airport is Nuremberg Airport, located about 100 km away.

Does the hotel offer Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas.

Does the hotel offer spa or wellness services?

Yes, our main building features a small but lovely wellness area with a sauna, infrared cabin, herbal steam bath (Kraxenofen), whirlpool, and relaxation room – exclusively for hotel guests.
You can also enjoy private spa time for € 30 per person – perfect for undisturbed relaxation. Each room includes 3 hours of sauna use per stay free of charge.

Is there a fitness area at the hotel?

Yes, there is a small but well-equipped fitness room located within the wellness area.

Do the rooms have a balcony or terrace?

Two of our rooms in the village houses include a private balcony or terrace.
The other rooms do not, but guests are welcome to relax and unwind in our spacious garden at any time.

Is there a restaurant at the hotel?

Yes, our in-house restaurant offers hotel guests a regional breakfast buffet and seasonal evening dishes freshly prepared by our kitchen team.
During the day, a small selection of snacks and drinks is available from our bistro menu.

Every Thursday and Saturday, we host themed buffet evenings in our Hollerscheune. External guests are warmly welcome, too!

What dining options are available at the hotel? (Breakfast, half board, etc.)

You can include breakfast with your booking, and we also offer half board upon request.

Can I host an event at the Hollerhöfe?

Yes! The Hollerhöfe are a wonderful venue for all kinds of events. Whether it's a family celebration, company event, or a wedding – we offer beautiful locations such as the Hollermanufaktur, Hollerscheune, our Tiny House, or the garden.

What event spaces are available?

You can host and celebrate in:

Sustainability is part of our philosophy. The Hollerhöfe have been awarded the Bavarian Monument Conservation Medal for their respectful renovation of historic village houses. Instead of building new, we’ve lovingly restored existing buildings in the heart of Waldeck – preserving the village character and reducing environmental impact.

Do the Hollerhöfe follow eco-friendly practices?

Yes, we place great value on sustainability in our day-to-day operations. This includes using regional and seasonal products, reducing waste, and working with local suppliers whenever possible.

Can I charge my electric car at the hotel?

Yes, charging an electric vehicle is possible upon request. Please let us know in advance so we can reserve a spot for you.

Can I host a meeting or conference at the hotel?

Absolutely. The Hollerhöfe offer an ideal setting for small to mid-sized meetings, seminars, and workshops – in a peaceful natural environment, far from the distractions of everyday office life. The tranquil atmosphere, unique architecture, and personal service make our venue especially appealing for business events.

What meeting spaces are available?

You can choose from three unique and fully equipped spaces:

Hollermanufaktur – with ambient lighting, premium seating, and a fully equipped kitchen (up to 20 people)
Hollerscheune – with terrace, outdoor seating, and fire pit (up to 60 people)
Tiny House – a small retreat in the greenery (up to 10 people)

Our large garden is also available for outdoor workshops, team events, and group work.

How many participants can attend a meeting at the Hollerhöfe?

Depending on the space and seating arrangement, we can host up to 60 participants.

Do you offer set prices or conference packages?

Yes, we offer three full-day packages and a half-day option. All packages include room rental, modern technology, and catering services (e.g. beverages, coffee breaks, lunch).
Accommodation for overnight stays is also available.
Our team will gladly provide you with an offer based on your group size, duration, and individual requirements.
