Admittedly, it's our favorite tip, as we helped open the park: the EWILPA - Edible Wild Plant Park in Waldeck-Kemnath. This park allows visitors to discover the diversity of edible wild plants in the region and learn about them in a fun way. On informative circular trails, you can learn interesting facts about the plants, their uses and helpful effects. The park is not only a paradise for nature lovers, but also a great opportunity to playfully expand your knowledge of wild herbs and their culinary uses during your summer vacation in Bavaria.
Steinwald Nature Park
Another natural gem near the Hollerhöfe is the Steinwald Nature Park. This densely wooded area is ideal for long walks and hikes. The Oberpfalz tower offers a great view over the entire region and is a popular destination for hikers. The diverse flora and fauna of the nature park also make a visit a special experience. It's simply beautiful in the forest!
Waldeck Castle
History buffs should definitely visit Waldeck Castle during their vacation in Kemnath. This small castle sits proudly above the village of Waldeck and offers insights into the history of the region. The well-tended gardens and the castle museum inside the castle are also well worth a visit. After a cultural excursion, you can relax in the castle gardens, stop off at the castle's restaurants, let the children play in the historic setting and enjoy a wonderful view of Waldeck.
Marienweiher pilgrimage church
The pilgrimage church of Marienweiher is a spiritual and architectural attraction. This beautiful baroque church attracts numerous pilgrims and visitors every year. The place radiates a special tranquillity and invites contemplation and reflection. We recommend a walk around the church and the adjacent pond.
Kösseine
For the adventurous, the Kösseine offers an exciting challenge when it's not just a simple walk.
